Dr. Ahluwalia completed a gastroenterology and hepatology fellowship and an internal medicine residency at the University of Iowa. He earned his medical degree at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA.

Dr. Ahluwalia is board certified in gastroenterology. His memberships include the American Colleger of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterology Association, and the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases.

Prior to moving to Lafayette, he was an assistant professor at the University of Iowa College of Medicine in Iowa City, Iowa, and associate professor at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, IL.

He has published more than 50 original articles, abstracts and book chapters. His clinical interests include general gastroenterology, colon cancer screening, anorectal manometry, and hepatology.
